Sister Dismas Angelica of the Sorrowful Mother, formerly Vitiana Michelle Mills, took her first vows as a Postulant in the Order on February 4th, while we celebrated the Sunday Feast day of Presentation of Jesus at Saint Joseph House. Sister Dismas was a fashion model in her old life and a trained nurse in the State of California. Her ministry in Dallas, Texas is to women in prison struggling with their rehabilitation and criminal histories. God has given her a wonderful gift as a Seer. She was mentored and trained by her Grandmother, after coming from a long line of evangelists in the Missionary Baptist Church and has ministered for almost 30 years as an Armor Bearer and evangelist. She speaks fluent Arabic and hopes to someday be ordained as a priest and pastor in the Liturgical Traditions of the Church.

We welcome her to the Order and accept her into the training program for the diaconate on her way to the priesthood within the next two years. Sister Dismas will take her novice vows this year on April 23rd, Mercy Sunday. She is a beautiful child of God and we are blessed to have her.

Our church brother, James Gill, AKA, "The Bear", was born in Hawaii and raised in Shelley. As a young boy he worked on a dairy farm and the local potato fields, while attending high school.  Later, Gill got his Associates Degree in Electronics and then returned to school to pursue more education. He is now enrolled in Thomas Edison State College for a combined Bachelors and Masters Degree in Design Construction. His goal is to help provide low cost, environmentally friendly housing for people of limited income. James is married to Ruzanna  from Armenia, has three children and is about to become a Grandpa through his oldest son, John. He has a working knowledge of Spanish and Russian and belongs to the local chapter of the Society of Creative Anachronism.

James was baptized in the Recovery Churches of America over 10 years ago and is in successful recovery from co-dependency with supportive behaviors. He has been on our church board for the past three years and has regularly played Santa Claus for our Saint Nicholas Outreach Program for more than seven years.  He credits the power of Jesus Christ and the Sacraments for helping him find his new life of happiness. James looks forward to someday becoming a Permanent Deacon.

Our Church sister, Sheila MacNeil-Wilcox, was born in Southeastern Idaho, the oldest of nine children. Her pain filled life as a child led her into tragic and abusive marriages. However, she managed to put that behind her through the redemptive power of Christ. It is Jesus who gets all the credit for her healing from broken relationships and drug addiction. Sheila has been sober from the hell of Meth for the past 13 years and has raised four children. Sheila and her two younger children, Zachary and Honor were baptized in our church.

We thank God for her beautiful and impassioned witness for Jesus, as well as her ministry outreach to children struggling to survive families burdened by addiction and abuse. She and her new husband, Gordon Wilcox are deeply committed to Christ and to each other. Sheila has a working knowledge of Spanish, is a senior in a Bachelor's program for Recovery Psychology and just recently finished her Counseling Course through Light University as a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. She would like to become a Permanent Deacon while her husband will is thinking about enrolling in that college's chaplaincy program.
