BISHOP "T"

My Episcopal Coat of Arms Tells My Whole Story

- The Kente Cloth behind the Hat bears the traditional West African colors for royalty (gold), new life, (green) and purple, ( the Ashanti color for women) from my African ancestors. We have four generations of women in ministry within both of our family lines.

I AM CALLED TO SERVE GOD IN A LONG LINE OF STRONG CHRISTIAN WOMEN AND MEN

 - The Red White and Blue Sword and Purple Cross represents my calling as an American Warrior Woman and Bishop for Christ on the battlefields of life.

I AM PROUD OF MY COUNTRY, MY TRAINING AND MY FAMILY'S SERVICE AND COMMITMENT TO JUSTICE

- The Chalice stands for my calling as a Liturgical Pastor and Priest

I STAND IN CHRIST'S PRIESTLY, PROPHETIC AND ROYAL AUTHORITY-CALLED IN THE LITURGICAL SERVICE OF THE LORD'S PEOPLE.

- The Fruitful Tree represents my commitment to Family and Education. It stands in Third Place on my shield as the Third Child of our line in the 20th Century to become a Teacher.

I WILL DEFEND THE TREE OF LIFE IN EACH AND EVERY CHILD WITH THEIR FAMILIES FROM CONCEPTION TO DEATH

-The White Eagle recalls the Eagle from my surname's coat of arms through my father, Paul McDaniels who was a Veteran of World War Two.  It is also the symbol of a Bishop, who flies towards the Sun of Righteousness and defends the Faith.

I WILL NEVER START A QUARREL BUT I WILL NOT BACK DOWN FROM A FIGHT

 - The Black Bear represents my calling as both Teacher and Healer through the Black ancestral ties of my mother, Sadie Wyatt Morrow McDaniels to native america. God bless my great "Uncle John."

I WILL RESPOND TO THE HONEST CRY FOR HEALNG, RECOVERY AND RESTORATION

-The Five Bees stand for Pledged Virginity and the Five Vows of my Order, the Mercy Apostles of the Holy Face:

Obedience to the Gospel of God

Trust in the Providence of God

Chasity for the Love of God

Devotion to Eucharistic Prayer

Compassionate Evangelical Harmlessness

I WILL WALK IN MY VOWS AND VIRTUES AS A COMMITTED WARRIOR OF GOD

- The Galdero-the traditional Western Liturgical symbol of a Bishop, which is symbolized by the Green Hat with the three tiers of tassles and the Golden Processional Cross

I WILL WILLINGLY LEARN, TEACH, PREACH AND DEFEND THE FAITH PASSED ON BY THE SAINTS OF GOD.

I WILL NOT KILL FOR THAT FAITH BUT I LIVE WILLING TO DIE FOR IT

-The Motto: Gratis Date Et Dabitur Vobis is from my favorite verse in the Bible, Luke 6:38

It means, "Freely give and it shall be given unto you."

IN ALL THINGS I PRAY THAT I BE A TRUE CHILD OF THE KING OF KINGS AND MAKE BOTH MY ANCESTORS AND MY DESCENDANTS PROUD!
